Tactical Control Systems (TCS)

TCS stands for Tactical Control Systems and is an easy to learn personal protection system that was designed specifically for the untrained person with no martial arts experience and little time available for training. The techniques are not unlike those taught to Law Enforcement, which include the FBI and the CIA. In addition to the self-defense techniques all participants are taught about the 5 levels of threat and guidelines that address the appropriate use of force.

COURSES AVAILABLE INCLUDE:

DEFENSIVE TACTICS

This course focuses on personal protection against a violent aggressor. The topics covered include: the law and the use of force, perceptual distortions, body movement & positioning, vital points, distraction techniques, defensive responses to various attacks and handcuffing techniques. This course is best suited for law enforcement, security, and airline personnel.

RESTRAINT & CONTROL

This course teaches how to control a person who attempts to cause injury to oneself or another and how to properly employ escort techniques. Topics covered include: vital points, distraction techniques, offensive control techniques and defensive responses to various attacks. This course is best suited for law enforcement, security, teachers, health care providers and anyone who would like to know how to control a violent aggressor.

FLASHLIGHT TACTICS

This course will offer training in the safe operational handling of a flashlight to ensure personal safety in self-defense situations. Topics will include: choosing a flashlight, the law & the use of force, tactical deployment & defensive tactics. This course is not only suitable for law enforcement & security personnel but also anyone, especially women & seniors, interested in learning how to use this extremely effective tool as an aid in self-defense.

TAMA Dojo is proud to be an authorized dealer for SureFire flashlights in Bermuda. These lights, originally developed to give law enforcement and military personal the tactical advantage in low light situations, are now available to the public and excellent tools for personal protection.

WEAPON DISARMS

This course will teach you how to defend against an armed attacker who is threatening your life. The topics covered will include: angles of attack, body movement & positioning, defense against knife, gun & impact weapons. This course is available to all but certification in Defensive Tactics would be an asset.

PERSONAL PROTECTION

This course was designed for the general public and contains many of the elements from the "Defensive Tactics Course". Topics covered include: the law and the use of force, body movement and positioning, vital points, distraction techniques and defensive responses to grabs, chokes, punches and kicks. This course is a must for anyone wanting an easy to learn and highly effective method of self-defense.

CHILD & FAMILY SAFETY

This is a comprehensive course, which is designed to provide both parents and children with innovative life skills for a changing world. The topics covered will include: Awareness, Effective Communication, Child ID Kits, Rules of Personal Safety, Dealing with Fear, Predator Lures, Internet Safety, Basic Self-Defense for children & more! This course is a must for all parents with young children, especially children between the ages of 5-12.
